August 9 is International Day of the World's Indigenous People. We celebrate Indigenous People in Canada and around the world. First Nations, Inuit and Metis have shaped Canada’s history and identity. We also recognize and acknowledge the injustices indigenous people have faced in Canada and continue to face around the world, but Canada is working to right these historic wrongdoings. Please stay tuned for the Prime Minister’s Statement.
