August 12 marks International Youth Day. We celebrate International Youth Day. This day allows us to reflect on the many challenges youth face internationally and empower their voices so we can take action. Young Canadians are not only the leaders of today, they are leaders of tomorrow and help build an inclusive Canada. We know that young Canadians have faced many challenges during this pandemic, including job losses and fewer training opportunities. They are at the centre of our recovery efforts to not only support them today, but to invest in their future success and future success of our economy. During the pandemic, our government provided over $7.4 billion to support young Canadians and our government will continue to be there to help them through these challenging times.  Please stay tuned for a Joint Statement from Minister Chaggar and Minister Qualtrough.
