This week, I’m back home in Brossard – Saint-Lambert. I’m rather excited to go to the Saint-Lambert Farmer’s market on Thursday to enjoy fresh, local products and to encourage the region’s producers who put so much heart in offering us quality and diversity for our plates. I invite you to visit them on Thursdays, from now until late October!
Brossard – Saint-Lambert’s younger voices (16 to 25 years old) have a lot to say about the country they want us to continue building while they’re getting ready to take on the responsibilities of governance. This week we are launching a Youth Council, which will meet once a month. I would like to invite civic-minded young people to join the Council and contribute their voices to the issues they want to see addressed. Please send us an email at [email protected].
Some significant dates in the next few days: May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. It is a day to strengthen our resolve to treat everyone with respect. May 18th is Haitian Flag Day and the End Armed Conflict in Sri Lanka Day. On May 20th, we celebrate the vibrant Ukrainian culture with Vyshyvanka Day. To cap off the week, May 22nd is International Day for Biological Diversity, a reminder of that which we must protect for future generations.
